But Not Broken. These guys are an awesome band from Charlotte,
N.C. They're not very well known yet, so if you like 'em, tell all your
friends!!! These guys are a christian metalcore band, with a sound similar
to The Devil Wears Prada or Asking Alexandria. I think they're gonna
drop their debut EP sometime soon. I don't know the exact date of release,
but i'll post about it when i find out! Until the EP is out, here's a song of theirs
to listen to, called Born and Razed. Enjoy :)

Oh, by the way, these guys will be playing at Amos' Southend on Nov. 11 in

HELPFUL GUITAR TECHNIQUE

I'm a guitarist and i like to play lots of fast leads and solos. One technique I find very useful for those kind of riffs is sweep picking. I've seen lots of videos of guitarist who can sweep pick well without any trouble at all. However, i've also seen some guitarists who's sweep picking sounds pretty bad (i happen to be one of those people). I found this video on sweep picking and it's very helpful for me, and i hope you find it helpful as well :)

New Releases #2

Here's another new release for ya: Dead Throne. This is The
Devil Wears Prada's most recent album, and it's a real killer
one. This album is extremely heavy, with insane riffs,
impressive leads and VERY powerful vocals from Mike
Hranica. I was not disappointed with the album at all,
although I was hoping they would keep some of their old
sound from older albums like Plagues. I definitely love their
newer heavy sounds they have on this album and had on
their Zombie EP. Overall, it's an amazing album, and if you
don't have it yet, you should get it, because you're gonna
love it :)

New Releases

Hello there! I would like to talk about a few albums that
have been released recently that i quite enjoy. First off, August
Burns Red's Leveler. This album hit stores June 21 (so its'
not really that new), and it's definitely their most unique
album yet. It still has all the heavy breakdowns and crazy
riffs they're known for, but its got a little something
different in store. They managed to incorporate some
amazing clean, slower-paced riffs into some songs, and
there's even a salsa solo in one of them! It sounds a little
unusual, but these guys made it work. The fact that they're
brave enough to break away from the everyday metal-core
sound makes them one of the greatest bands out there. If
you haven't picked up this album, I suggest that you do,
because i know you're gonna love it :)

Here's a link to one of there new songs:

I'll post some more reviews on new releases soon!!!

Assignment #1

Hello, and welcome to Christian Metal 4 U! This blog is all about christian metal: music, concert dates, basic information about bands, etc. If there is something you know about a band, or if you want to discover new bands, or if you just want to rock out, you should come here. I hope that all other metal fanatics out there find this blog informative and useful!

http://christianmetal-bands.blogspot.com/ is a pretty awesome blog. It has some great bands listed and a few music videos for each. It also has basic information about each band, such as its members, their origin and previous releases. The bands listed were great bands, but there were not very many. I do like the layout though, because it's really sort of fits the subject of the blog.

I also found http://www.metalforjesus.org/ and it is a pretty great blog as well. I like the way it's laid out, because everything is easy to find and there is so much to look at. It didn't have any music or videos, but it did mention lots of bands, mainly less known ones. This is definitely a good place to go if you're looking for some great new bands to rock out to.
